Implementing Successful Bariatric Surgery Programs and Service Lines to Meet the Patient Demand, Increase Market Share and Enhance Revenue. Studies over the past 30 years have found obesity sharply on the rise in U.S. adults, with little sign of decline and approximately 65 percent of Americans being overweight. With the combination of population statistics, minimal start up capital, increased public awareness, celebrity endorsement, favorable out-of-pocket payments and insurers starting to see the long-term health benefits, most hospitals are willing to make the necessary investments in implementing and updating bariatric surgery programs to enhance their reputation and build revenue while addressing a critical health need in their communities. Some of the key findings include:
• Obesity-related medical conditions contribute to 300,000 deaths per year, the second highest cause of preventable death.
• Bariatric surgical market is $3 billion and is expected to grow to $3.7 billion by 2008.
• The specialized products area is expected to increase with the obesity market, as bariatric beds alone will increase between 22% and 27% in the next few years.
To prepare hospitals for growth opportunities in bariatric medicine, ACI has developed the Premiere National Conference on Adding, Updating and Expanding Competitive BARIATRIC SURGERY SERVICES For Hospitals and Health Centers.

ACI is dedicated to producing high-quality, strategic business conferences where audience members, speakers, and sponsors develop key industry contacts and walk away with new knowledge and resources.

Medivisor's Internet Conferencing joins the fight against cancer. Medivisor hosted participation of the 2004 International Conference on Cancer on the Internet.
The Internet is the cornerstone of the techno-cultural revolution that is starting to transform the nature of cancer control. Patients have been at the forefront of this revolution and many are now regularly using the Internet to obtain information about their disease and its treatment, seek support from on-line patient communities and support groups, share knowledge and experiences with other patients and to communicate with their professional careers and loved ones. There is a great deal of confusion and many concerns as to the quality and appropriateness of online patient resources; however, it is impossible to police the Internet. In order to address these concerns, many governmental and non-governmental organizations have developed guidelines for quality health Websites and on evaluating health information on the Internet. Unfortunately, implementation of these guidelines has been patchy. Moreover, there is little or no government protection for e-consumers of health sites particularly in terms of privacy, security and confidentiality.

The Internet provides an important tool to facilitate clinical practice and cancer research. Professional access to and use of content and Internet applications is an essential part of providing appropriate cancer care, for more information, please register at Statdose.com

MEDIVISOR.COM IS JUST WHAT THE DOCTOR ORDERED
Bay Shore, N.Y., February 22, 2002- Medivisor.com maximizes the effectiveness of communication between pharmaceutical representative and physician, known as detailing, by taking the whole process and putting it on the Internet. The new Medivisor.com website has new features that offer the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries a medium to interface their ideas and thoughts. This is a business "solution" and solutions are remedies to problems. The problems surrounding the pharmaceutical marketplace are those of competition-not just for market share, but also for the doctor's time.

Once a customized pharma marketing program is developed, participating physicians undergo a strict verification process. Medivisor.com delivers concise messages of an informative, educational, promotional, or other nature averaging five to seven minutes in length, with high quality audio, and sophisticated graphics. Statistical evaluations are made based on data that is gathered with the physicians' knowledge and approval. The field representatives make direct responses with this information. With the growing population that has access to the Internet, product information is communicated with maximum impact. Message retrieval can take place anywhere the physician has access to the Internet, at the time that they choose- often when distractions are minimal such as before office hours, at home, in transport, even on the beach! E-detailing with Medivisor.com will empower the pharmaceutical industry and keep pace with today's physicians who must make every minute count.

DINO LUZZI, MEDIVISOR.COM PRESIDENT DISCUSSES HIS SUCCESS FORMULA: e-Detailing and Excellence
Although e-Detailing may be a relatively new concept, its success or failure is still determined by traditional marketing criteria -increased revenue, ROI, and share of market. I am committed to Medivisor.com upholding the highest standards of good business practice set long before the Internet was born, and confident in our success. E-Detailing has unlimited potential and far-reaching possibilities.

There is essentially a triumvirate of e-Detailing clients. They are the physician, the pharma company and the sales representative. Medivisor devises pathways of effective communication to reach new levels of efficiency. Our marketing solutions evolve; the constant gathering of data enable us to develop the best client branding and execution of targeted marketing strategies. We are the launch partners to the pharma company and the sales tool of the marketing rep. We provide physicians with updated accurate information, easily accessed in a user- friendly format.

e-Detailing is a way to augment the sales call, not to replace it. It overcomes the limitations of a sales force harnessed by specific restrictions placed upon them by managed care organizations. The sales representative can be obstructed by "no-see" physicians and by rural and vacant territories. All of this adds to the cost of delivering their message and product. Medivisor lowers the cost of effective sales strategies. We start a dialogue with the target audience and optimize market awareness with persuasive product messages delivered consistently and completely.

Time restraints have been lifted. E-detailing has changed the dynamics of the physician/sales representative relationship. The opportunities offered by software, the Internet and wireless solutions maximize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) streamlining the merging and sharing of information. Now customer service, e-business, marketing, sales, medical education, marketing research and regulatory affairs can be found under one umbrella, at Medivisor.com

Change is in the air. You may never again see a sales rep. turned away from a receptionist's desk or flipping through a magazine in a doctor's waiting room, anxious to relate the latest scientific breakthrough offered by their pharma company. Doctors will be rewarded, finding the information and product that they need, at a time most convenient and conducive to interaction. Pharma companies will extend their reach and physicians will be calling on reps for visits and samples as a result of e-Detailing with Medivisor.com. I am thrilled to live in these exciting times and proud of our commitment to excellence.

I am excited to be a catalyst to these changing times and committed to excellence in providing a service that is a win/win situation for all involved.
